Lincoln's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Lincoln's 3rd birthday a few weeks ago at Lattin's Cider Mill.  We have so many things going on right now with work and home projects that I didn't want to attempt having the party at the house.  I have learned the hard way that you cannot count on the weather in September.  Thus began the hunt to find a location that was going to be fun, affordable, and offer shelter.  Someone suggested Lattin's Cider Mill so I called and we booked it.  I am soooo glad I did.  This was the first party that I felt like I could relax and enjoy visiting with everyone.  They provided some cider and animal feed for all of the kids.  To boot, the weather was GORGEOUS!!!  It really was nearly perfect.  The only mistake I made was that I did not check the Seahawks schedule prior to booking and the start of the party coincided with kick off... Oops...

We didn't really have a theme this year other than my friend Amy did a Madagascar cake.  Lincoln has been obsessed with it lately and that was what he wanted.  I was as excited  a child on Chirstmas Eve to see what she would come up with.  She of course did a phenomenal job.

The invites were made up of a picture of Lincoln in the outfit of his choice.  I asked him random questions about his favorite things and recorded the answers on the invite.  I saw the idea online somewhere and I plan to do it every year so we can look back on his "favorite" things.

I cannot believe he is three already!  He is getting so big and he cracks us up constantly.  He is very stubborn and reserved.  The spot light is most certainly not his cup of tea and he likes things to be "just so"...  I love him to pieces and am still overwhelmed at the love a parent can have for his/her child.  Again, I am so blessed.

Thank you to everyone that came to celebrate with us for Lincoln's birthday!

  1. Victoria,
Thanks so much for sharing...looks like it was a memorable party. You are such a great mom, I'm proud of you. Lincoln reminds me of Zac..."reserved & just so." Cherish this time. Miss y'all!
