The Things Kids Say...

On our trip Lincoln was having a hard time calming down and turning in for the night so I finally swatted his butt.  Well, I missed his butt and got more of his thigh because he was moving all over the place.  Afterwards he looked at me with an irritated, yet hurt expression and says through gritted teeth, "Mama, we don't spank legs, we spank butts..."  Needless to say I turned over and slept with my face in the opposite direction to conceal the grin and look of shock from my face!
